A genuinely excellent value performer with flagship-adjacent Dimensity 8300 Ultra performance and a bright, vibrant AMOLED display — held back by an unremarkable camera system beyond the main sensor and persistent HyperOS bloatware.

Genuine flagship-adjacent performance and display quality at a compelling sub-$400 price.

Strengths

  • Flagship-adjacent Dimensity 8300 Ultra gaming performance
  • Bright 1.5K AMOLED display with Dolby Vision, up to 1800 nits
  • Efficient battery life with fast 67W charging
  • Solid overall build with IP54 resistance

Weaknesses

  • Weak 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro auxiliary cameras
  • HyperOS bloatware and pre-installed ads are a persistent annoyance
  • Charging trails the China-market K70E counterpart's 90W
  • Smaller battery than the equivalent Redmi model

Best for

  • Budget-conscious gamers wanting flagship-adjacent performance
  • Buyers prioritizing display quality and brightness
  • Shoppers wanting a well-rounded package under $400
  • Anyone comfortable managing HyperOS software quirks

Less suitable for

  • Buyers who prioritize camera quality above all else
  • Anyone wanting the fastest possible charging speeds
  • Shoppers wanting a completely bloatware-free software experience
  • Buyers wanting the largest possible battery capacity in this segment

Upgrade recommendation

  • Current device: Older mid-range phone owners

    Recommendation: Strongly recommended

Notes: A genuine performance and display leap without flagship pricing.

  • Current device: Camera-quality-focused shoppers

    Recommendation: Depends on priorities

Notes: The main sensor is solid, but auxiliary lenses and dynamic range are real limitations.

  • Current device: Bloatware-averse Android purists

    Recommendation: Probably unnecessary

Notes: HyperOS's ads and pre-installed apps require active management to minimize.

Bottom line

The POCO X6 Pro is a genuinely excellent value performer, bringing flagship-adjacent Dimensity 8300 Ultra performance and a bright, vibrant AMOLED display to a sub-$400 price point. The camera system beyond the main sensor and HyperOS bloatware are the clearest trade-offs, but for gamers and performance-focused buyers on a budget, this remains one of the strongest options in its class.
